Jessica Sierra, another American Idol contestant also tried to turn her life around by being on Celebrity Rehab. I sort of remember Nikki from season one and I thought she did fairly well. I knew she wouldn’t make it to the end but she wasn’t a terrible singer.
I guess some of the contestants don’t go after their dreams once the show is over or they just have no luck breaking into the industry. The music industry is a tough thing to get into unless you are picked up by a producer who believes in your potential. I think those who make the final two of American Idol should hope to lose because more often than not, the losers go on to sell more records than the actual winners.
Clay Aiken is a prime example and as well as Daughtry. Jennifer Hudson is an Oscar Winner and she didn’t even get to the final two. Hopefully the rehab stay will do Nikki McKibbin some good. I think she has a child so she will definitely want to break her addictions and get her life together.
