There will be a large amount of searches for 4th of July recipes with the holiday fast approaching. Most recipes will be about grilling, after all, a 4th of July isn’t complete without breaking out the BBQ grill.

There has been some news about the amount of carcinogens created when grilling meats. Carcinogens increase in grilled meats when meats are left too long to cook or are overly charred. You can cut back the risk of carcinogens in several ways. You can switch to a gas grill versus a charcoal one as charcoal. You can also cover your grill’s cooking surface with foil to prevent flare-ups which could burn your meat.

You can also continue with the theme of having healthy 4th of July recipes by opting for using fresh summer fruits for desserts rather than pie and ice cream. There are tons of fruit salads that you can prepare as well as fruit smoothies. As long as the desserts are sweet, I doubt your family will notice the difference. They may even enjoy them more.

You can search perform a search for health 4th of July recipes and you will have hundreds to choose from. I plan on keeping it healthy this 4th of July as well by grilling more fish than meat and stocking up on summer fruits.
